Officials fined for delay in furnishing information under RTI Act

The Karnataka State Information Commission’s Kalaburagi Bench has imposed penalties connected respective authorities officials, including gram panchayat secretaries and improvement officers, for failing to furnish accusation nether the Right to Information (RTI) Act wrong the stipulated clip and for remaining absent during hearings, State Information Commissioner B. The committee imposed a good of ₹10,000 connected Mr. Shringeri, ₹15,000 connected Mr. Katti and ₹5,000 connected Tahsildar Parashuram.

The commissioner said that a full punishment of ₹1.5 lakh was imposed connected 18 officials during April.

Mr. Singh said that the committee took up 564 cases for proceeding during April and disposed of 229 cases.

He further said that since assuming office, helium has taken up 3,084 cases and disposed of 1,308 cases during 88 days of hearings.
