The North Chennai Federation of Residents’ Welfare Association has opposed the projected Waste-to-Energy (WTE) works successful Kodungaiyur, citing a caller Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) study that showed alert ash from WTE plants successful Hyderabad’s Jawaharnagar and Dundigal contained dense metals acold exceeding limits permissible by the World Health Organization (WHO).

T.K. Shanmugam, president of the federation, said a delegation from the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), including Mayor R. Priya, Commissioner J.
