No dearth of urea stock for Rabi season, Annamayya Collector assures farmers

Annamayya District Collector Nishant Kumar connected Friday (December 12, 2025) assured the farmers that determination was capable banal of urea for the Rabi season, cautioning that strict enactment would beryllium taken against middlemen and traders for immoderate effort to make artificial scarcity.

Speaking to the media, the Collector said that 18,071 metric tonnes of urea had been planned for organisation for the 2025–26 Rabi play crossed Annamayya district. Against the estimated request of 6,124 tonnes from October 1 to December 31, officials person already made 6,250 tonnes available, with different 1,546 tonnes expected by December end.

Mr. Nishant Kumar said that betwixt October 1 and December 10, farmers purchased 4,949 tonnes of urea successful Madanapalle, Rayachoti, and Rajampeta divisions. At present, 4,163 tonnes of banal of urea was with the cooperative societies, Rythu Service Kendras, MARKFED godowns, retail and wholesale outlets, and institution warehouses.

The Collector said that nary shortage had been reported truthful acold and assured that some the State and Centre were prepared to import urea, if needed. He urged farmers to follow nano urea and nano DAP to trim dependency connected accepted fertilisers.

Mr. Nishant Kumar further warned against overpricing, diversion, oregon hoarding of the urea stocks.
