No affidavit filed in Supreme Court for GBA poll deadline extension, says SEC

Amid the uncertainty surrounding the behaviour of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) polls, the State Election Commission (SEC) connected Tuesday said it has not filed an affidavit successful the Supreme Court seeking an hold of the deadline for conducting the civic polls successful the GBA area.

The clarification followed the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) penning to the Commission seeking an hold of the predetermination deadline till September 30, citing a terrible strain connected disposable unit owing to the ongoing nationalist Census and Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
