NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy, aimed astatine strengthening industry-academia collaboration successful applied probe and exertion development.
According to a property note, the Centre for Applied Research and Development (CARD), the in-house R&D centre of NLCIL, had floated an Expression of Interest inviting probe proposals from premier world institutions.
The inaugural received an encouraging response, resulting successful the signing of 13 MoAs with starring institutions, including IISc, IITs and State Universities. The MoA with NIT Trichy is for improvement of caller worldly for bucket instrumentality teeth and its improvement.
The probe task would outgo ₹50.73 lakh and aims to make precocious materials with enhanced deterioration resistance, corrosion absorption and toughness for bucket instrumentality teeth. The task is expected to importantly heighten work life, trim downtime, and optimise operational costs, NLCIL said.
