The National Institute of Technology - Karnataka (NIT-K), Surathkal, has won the Rajbhasha Shield and Certificate (first prize) successful the Central Government Offices (over 50 employees) class astatine the 78th half-yearly gathering of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Mangaluru.

The grant for 2025-26 recognises the implementation of Hindi arsenic the authoritative language.

Subhash C. Yaragal, Deputy Director, NIT-K, received the grant from Nirmal Kumar Dubey, Deputy Director (Implementation), Regional Implementation Office (South), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Bengaluru. Nikhitha, Hindi Officer of NIT-K, was besides present, a NIT-K merchandise said connected Monday.

The institute’s non-teaching unit excelled successful inter-office Hindi competitions. Nemma and Ashwitha won archetypal prize successful the creation competition, the institute secured 2nd prize successful Hindi typing, and Ingilela Mahesh, Deputy Registrar (Finance), won 3rd prize successful Chitra Katha, the merchandise added.
