The Railway Protection Force (RPF) connected Saturday (November 22, 2025) rescued a nine-month-old babe who was abandoned connected the Alleppey-Chennai Central Express. 

At 5.20 a.m. connected Saturday, a connection was received from the Divisional Security Control Room, Chennai Division, that a nine-month-old babe miss had been recovered abandoned successful Coach S7 of Train No. 22640 (ALLP–MAS Express).

The RPF Women Sub-Inspector/Chennai Central, on with her team, entered the bid connected its accomplishment astatine Chennai Central (MAS) astatine 5.30 americium and safely rescued the baby. As per information, the babe was recovered connected berth No. 37 of Coach S7 aft the bid had passed Coimbatore. Despite a thorough hunt of each coaches, the parents could not beryllium traced. Further efforts to place them are nether way. The babe is reportedly healthy.

The rescued kid was subsequently handed implicit to the Child Help Desk, Chennai Central, for contiguous care, aesculapian attention, and further rehabilitation.
