The Forest Department has intensified nighttime patrols and filling of h2o successful troughs and percolation ponds successful forests to trim incidents of chaotic elephants entering villages successful the summer.

District Forest Officer N. Vengatesh Prabhu said a full of 18 borderline nighttime patrol teams (BNPT) are conducting nighttime patrols successful the 7 wood ranges of the Coimbatore Forest Division – Madukkarai, Boluvampatti, Coimbatore, Periyanaickenpalayam, Karamadai, Mettupalayam and Sirumugai.
