A Delhi tribunal connected Monday (June 1, 2026) sent 3 accused successful the NEET insubstantial leak case — a physics lecturer empanelled by the National Testing Agency (NTA) arsenic translator, a Latur-based paediatrician and a physics tutor — to 14 days’ judicial custody.

Special Judge Ajay Gupta allowed the CBI’s plea seeking judicial custody of physics translator Manisha Sanjay Hawaldar, paediatrician Dr. Manoj Shirure and physics teacher Tejas Harshadkumar Shah.

Ms. Hawaldar’s CBI custody was extended by 2 days connected Saturday (May 30), portion Mr. Shirure and Mr. Shah were sent to 5 days of custodial interrogation connected May 27.

CBI alleged that Ms. Hawaldar, successful conspiracy with different accused persons, without authorisation, kept and distributed the NEET-UG introspection insubstantial for money.

It is alleged that Manoj Shirure played a “key role” successful facilitating 3 students, including the lad of Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar, who runs the Renukai Chemistry Classes (RCC) successful Maharashtra’s Latur, successful getting Chemistry questions from NEET insubstantial setter P.V. Kulkarni.

The bureau had already arrested Montegaonkar and Kulkarni, the alleged kingpin, successful the case. Tejas Harshadkumar Shah, a Physics teacher astatine Dr. Abhang Prabhu Medical Academy (APMA), a Pune-based coaching centre, was besides arrested for his engagement successful the case.

According to the national agency, Shah allegedly received the leaked Physics questions for NEET UG 2026 from Ms. Hawaldar.

CBI has arrested 13 accused persons successful the case. On May 12, the NTA cancelled the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), oregon NEET, held connected May 3 for aesculapian admissions amid allegations of insubstantial leak. A re-examination has been scheduled for June 21.
