Andhra Pradesh Coastal Security (North-Visakhapatnam) Inspector General Gopinath Jatti connected Thursday unfurled the National Flag connected Hope Island disconnected Kakinada seashore arsenic portion of the Republic Day celebrations, 2026 successful Kakinada District.

Superintendent of Police G. Bindu Madhav, District Forest Officer N. Ramachandra Rao, Indian Coast Guard Commandant A. V. Ramam and members from the 80 sportfishing households inhabiting Hope land attended.

Mr. Gopinath Jatti said: "Republic Day is being celebrated jointly by the Central and State governments with the nonsubjective of affirming nationalist sovereignty and integrity, strengthening coastal security, and symbolically recognising islands arsenic integral parts of Indian territory." He announced that Hope Island has been included successful the database of islands identified by the Government of India.

He further noted that connected January 17, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu announced that a satellites launching installation would beryllium acceptable up connected Hope Island.

This is the 2nd Republic Day celebrated connected Hope Island.
