To people World Suicide Prevention Day, the Madras School of Social Work (MSSW) held a sheet treatment connected September 24, titled ‘Beyond a Quick Fix’. Against the backdrop of 1,71,000 suicides reported successful India successful 2022, panelists called for a displacement from short-term, medicalised responses to much holistic, semipermanent approaches. Speakers included psychiatrists S. Mohan Raj and R. Mangala, objective scientist Keerthi Pai, intelligence wellness activistic Nandini Murali, and pupil typical Kishore Kumar V.N. Key themes included the value of postvention, assemblage resilience, liable media coverage, and listening to lived experiences. The sheet was moderated by pupil Sania Tanveer.
