Southern Railway has issued a clip array for the cognition of electrical aggregate portion (EMU) trains from Saturday (March 14, 2026) successful the aftermath of the operationalisation of the Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) Extension Project from Velachery to St. Thomas Mount.

In a property release, Southern Railway said 43 pairs of bid services had been extended to St. Thomas Mount and 5 pairs of shuttle services would besides beryllium operated. Of these shuttle services, 2 pairs volition run betwixt Chennai Beach and Velachery and 3 volition tally betwixt Velachery and St. Thomas Mount.
