HYDERABAD
In a determination expected to importantly amended the wide world situation successful Gurukul and residential schools, the State authorities has shifted from quarterly to monthly merchandise of funds. The determination was besides announced successful the 2026-27 Budget.
This volition streamline the merchandise of funds for fare charges, cosmetic expenses and gathering rentals for institutions tally by the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC) and Minority Welfare and Education departments.
The determination aims to amended surviving and learning conditions for students from disadvantaged sections. Earlier, payments were delayed by 8-9 months, affecting the functioning of hostels and schools.
Officials said the timely travel of funds would guarantee an uninterrupted proviso of nutritious food, attraction of hostel facilities, outgo of rents and proviso of basal amenities. The measurement is expected to amended pupil payment and world outcomes.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka reiterated the government’s committedness successful strengthening residential acquisition strategy and providing prime facilities to students from marginalised communities.
As of May 17, the authorities has released ₹221.24 crore towards diet, cosmetic and rental expenses crossed departments.
Department-wise allocations are: SC Welfare - ₹41.21 crore, ST Welfare - ₹110.15 crore, BC Welfare - ₹28.18 crore, Minority Welfare -₹29.65 crore, and Education Department - ₹12.05 crore.
