MLRIT students bag 2nd prize in Chennai drone challenge event

Students of MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) secured the 2nd prize successful wide show astatine the SAE Drone Development Challenge (DDC) 2025–26, hosted by KCG College of Technology, Chennai.

Team Meghdooth, comprising third-year mechanical engineering students demonstrated outstanding capabilities successful drone design, fabrication, formation performance, efficiency, and wide engineering excellence. The show earned them the 2nd prize on with a currency grant of ₹45,000.

MLRIT caput and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekar Reddy said the instauration consistently stays up successful showcasing pupil endowment astatine national-level competitions. Principal V. Radhika Devi and Prof. M. Venkateshwar Reddy, president of SAE Hyderabad Division, appreciated the students. The students were mentored by Dr. P. Pramod Kumar and Sai Kumar.
