D. Vedavyasa Kamath, Mangaluru City South MLA, connected January 13, directed Mangaluru City Corporation officials to instantly desilt the Raja Kaluve stormwater drain astatine its rima with the Netravathi River astatine Hoige Bazar.
During an inspection of the drain successful Pandeshwara, Shivanagara, Subhashnagara, and Hoige Bazar, Mr. Kamath identified silt accumulation arsenic the origin of erstwhile artificial floods during the Monsoon. He emphasised the request to wide the silt astatine the stream rima immediately.
