Minister inaugurates park at Govt. High School for Hearing Impaired in Salem

Tourism Minister R. Rajendran inaugurated a parkland astatine the Government High School for the Hearing Impaired at Kondappanaickenpatti, adjacent the Yercaud foothills, connected Friday.

After inaugurating the park, the Minister inspected the facilities provided to the students and interacted with the teachers and students. The Minister distributed sports materials like chessboards, carrom boards, tennis, cricket bats and balls and footballs to students.

Speaking astatine the function, the Minister said that for the improvement of the otherwise abled, Chief M.K. Stalin is giving overmuch value and implementing assorted schemes for them. On January 18, 2024, the Chief Minister, done video conferencing, inaugurated the authorities precocious schoolhouse and hostel for the proceeding impaired. This schoolhouse and hostel was constructed astatine a outgo of ₹6.70 crore. The hostel has the installation to accommodate 100 students. Eight peculiar teachers are appointed for the school.
