The Union Ministry of Mines would beryllium launching the seventh tranche of auction of captious and strategical mineral blocks connected Monday (March 23, 2026), it informed. The latest tranche would connection 19 blocks crossed respective states nether some mining lease and composite licenses.
About the creation of the blocks, the Ministry stated, “These blocks comprise a divers handbasket of minerals indispensable for sectors specified arsenic cleanable energy, precocious technologies, fertilizers and strategical industries.”
The auctions would travel a two-stage ascending auction process, wherein the highest bidder would beryllium chosen based connected the “highest percent of worth of mineral dispatched quoted”.
As connected date, the Mines Ministry has successfully auctioned disconnected 46 captious and strategical minerals crossed the six tranches of auctions.
