Michael Reagan, the eldest lad of erstwhile U.S. President Ronald Reagan and a blimpish commentator, has died. He was 80.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute announced his decease successful a station connected X connected Tuesday, calling him “a steadfast guardian of his father's legacy”.

“Michael Reagan lived a beingness shaped by conviction, purpose, and an abiding devotion to President Reagan's ideals,” the instauration said.

His origin of decease was not instantly announced.
