Noted writer G.N. Panicker was presented the Thoppil Mohamed Meeran Memorial Award instituted by the Thiruvananthapuram Literary Society (TLS) for his wide contributions to literature. Minister for Culture P.C. Vishnunadh presented the award, consisting of ₹25,000 currency prize and citation, to Prof. Panicker astatine a relation astatine his residence present connected Wednesday. Former manager of the State Institute of Languages M.R. Thampan, TLS president Kayamkulam Yunus, M.M. Safar, Prof. Panicker’s woman Sushama Devi and children Rajeev, Nirala and Manju were present.
