Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) was conferred the Innovation Award 2024-25 for Best Innovation successful Research & Development successful Refining Technology astatine the 28th Energy Technology Meet (ETM 2025) successful Hyderabad connected Tuesday (October 28).
Nandakumar V. Pillai (Director-Refinery) and Chief Managers R. Karthick and S. Nirmal Ganesh from the Innovation Centre Team of MRPL received the grant from Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
MRPL won this grant for the 4th consecutive term.
The grant was conferred for MRPL’s Gradual Olefins and Aromatic Technology (GOAT) — a breakthrough crude-to-chemicals process developed indigenously by MRPL’s Research and Development team. The GOAT exertion underscores India’s increasing capableness to person crude lipid straight into high-value petrochemicals, thereby enhancing vigor efficiency, reducing c intensity, and advancing the nation’s travel towards sustainable refining, a MRPL merchandise said connected Wednesday (October 29).
