A 50-year-old antheral and his 24-year-old lad drowned aft falling into 1 of the canals of the Karanja reservoir adjacent Byalahalli colony successful Bhalki taluk of Bidar territory connected Monday.
The deceased person been identified arsenic Vishwanath Ambanna and his lad Ambarish Vishwanath, residents of Hallikhed (B) village.
According to the police, the incidental occurred portion the 2 were returning location aft completing masonry enactment successful Bidar.
On the way, Ambarish stepped into the canal to lavation his hands and feet, but reportedly slipped and fell into the canal.
In an effort to rescue him, his father, Vishwanath, entered the canal. However, some were drowned aft being swept distant by the current.
