A ‘man missing’ ailment registered by Mettupalayam constabulary during 2024 was altered to a execution lawsuit connected Friday (October 31, 2025) aft apprehension of 2 brothers and their father.

After Alavudeen (36) of Mahadevapuram, a car driver, had gone missing, Sumaiya (29) had lodged a ailment astir her husband’s disappearance.

On tracing telephone records, the investigating squad had recovered that Alaudeen had past talked to Sarankumar’s woman Pooja, with whom helium had an illicit relationship.

On interrogation, constabulary established that Sarankumar, his member Manikandan (35) and begetter Ravikumar (59) had murdered Alavudeen by strangling and burning his body..

The missing lawsuit was thereafter altered to execution nether Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 302 and 201.

Police recovered skeletal remains for forensic introspection from the country of transgression down Madheswaran Temple on Karamadai Road.

The accused were remanded to judicial custody.
