Tiruvottriyur constabulary arrested a 27-year-old antheral for cheating a car rental proprietor by pledging a conveyance helium had hired.
According to the police, Gautham, 40, of Kaladipet, had rented retired an SUV to Hariharan, 27, of Tirunelveli connected April 20 for six days. When helium did not instrumentality the vehicle, Gautham tracked it down to Vellore done GPS.
Investigations revealed that Hariharan had pledged the car with different idiosyncratic for ₹5 lakh.
Gautham besides received threatening calls from unidentified persons informing him not to prosecute the matter.
Following his complaint, the constabulary arrested Hariharan, and remanded him successful judicial custody.
