Incumbent president of the Yadgir territory portion of Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) Mallappa Sankin has been re-elected for different word (2025-28).

The polling was held connected Sunday astatine Partika Bhavan successful Yadgir and Election Officer Narasappa Narayanor announced the results aft the completion of counting of votes.

Of the 142 eligible members successful the district, 137 members formed their votes during polling. Mr. Sankin secured 73 votes against the 64 votes of Dinesh V.C.

Except for the national president’s posts, each the different office-bearers were elected unopposed.

Sagar Desai, who contested for the station of subordinate of the State enforcement committee, was declared elected aft his hostile Raghavendra Kamanatagi’s information papers were rejected for method reasons during scrutiny.

The caller office-bearers are Vishal Dornahalli, Earanna Mourya and Kumarswamy Kalal (vice-presidents), Siddappa Lingeri (general secretary), Sagar Desai (State enforcement committee member), Gundabhat Joshi (secretary) and Rajkumar Nallikar (treasurer).

The enforcement committee members are Basavaraj Karegar, D.C. Patil, Anand Rao Gorkal, Devaraj Naik, Mallikarjun K., Manjunath Biradar, K.B. Raghavendra, Syed Said Hayat, Parashuram, Mallanna Patil, Basavaraj Sharadahalli, Mallikarjun Ashanal, Totendra Makal, Preeti Rathi and Rajendra.
