Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson Rayapati Sailaja directed the K.R. Puram Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) officials to reverify the database of women who had undergone termination successful the tribal villages successful Eluru district.

Ms. Sailaja, on with District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr. Amrutha, Women Development and Child Welfare Project Director Sarada, and different officials conducted an enquiry into the 281 abortions registered successful the ITDA limits successful Eluru territory connected Tuesday.

“The doctors and the tract unit explained antithetic reasons for the abortions. A elaborate enquiry has been ordered,” the Mahila Commission Chairperson said.

“The Women’s Commission inquired with the Deputy DM&HO Dr. Suresh Kumar and the aesculapian officers connected the reasons for the immense fig of abortions registered successful the tribal habitations. I asked the tract unit to revisit the houses and verify the information of each 281 abortions again,” Ms. Sailaja told The Hindu.

The Chairperson inspected the Nandapuram Primary Health Centre (PHC), verified the aesculapian records, and interacted with the doctors and the paramedical staff.  “Instructions person been fixed to ITDA Project Officer Ramulu Naik to taxable a study to the Commission aft re-verification of the abortions day case-wise,” Ms. Sailaja said.
