The Karnataka Cabinet connected Thursday partially rejected the Keshav Narayana Commission study which probed the alleged termination of M.K. Ganapathy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, successful 2016, and accepted the recommendations made by M.K. Srivastava, IPS, retired Director-General of Police.
The one-man committee headed by retired justice Keshav Narayana had recommended enactment against officers citing lapses during the probe. However, it had fixed a cleanable chit to past Home Minister K.J. George and different IPS officers A.M. Prasad and Pranav Mohanty, whose names were mentioned by Ganapathy during an interview.
Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil told reporters that Mr. Srivastava, successful his report, said determination was nary request to instrumentality enactment against the officers, arsenic recommended by the Keshav Narayana Commission, since the study submitted by the CBI had been accepted by the Karnataka High Court and the Supreme Court had upheld the closure of the CBI lawsuit successful the Special Leave Petition.
“There is nary request to judge the proposal of departmental enquiry against the officers,” Mr. Patil said.
