The Lokayukta constabulary connected Thursday arrested Assistant Director of Land Records, Mangaluru taluk, B.K. Raju and 2 others connected the complaint of receiving bribe.
In a property release, the Lokayukta constabulary said they caught Raju and survey supervisor S. Dhanashekar astatine their bureau portion they were allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹5,000 each. Another Surveyor astatine the bureau of Assistant Director of Land Records, Ullal taluk, Krishnamurthy, was caught portion allegedly accepting a ₹20,000 bribe.
The Lokayukta constabulary said the complainant was outsourced to enactment successful the Dakshina Kannada Urban Property Ownership Records (UPOR) bureau successful Mangaluru. To get pending wage and for renewal of his contract, Krishnamurthy had demanded from the complainant a bribe of ₹50,000, portion Raju and Dhanashekar had demanded ₹10,000 each.
