The Lokayukta constabulary connected Monday caught a Bescom authoritative red-handed portion helium was allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹3 lakh from an electrical contractor for an authoritative favour.
The arrested authoritative has been identified arsenic Rajesh K.V., enforcement technologist (electrical), E-11 Division, Bescom, Indiranagar.
According to the officials, the complainant, an electrical contractor, approached them alleging that Rajesh had demanded a bribe of ₹7 lakh to reactivate energy meters and supply a caller 24 KW powerfulness transportation to the complainant’s client.
Acting connected the complaint, Lokayukta officials laid a trap and caught Rajesh red-handed.
A lawsuit has been registered against the accused nether the applicable provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further probe is nether way.
