Loco moving unit affiliated to Southern Railway Masdoor Union connected Monday staged a objection demanding to summation kilometre allowance for the railway moving crew.
Speaking connected the occasion, SRMU divisional caput J. M. Rafi said that 7th Pay Commission recommendations stipulated that erstwhile dearness allowance reached 50%, question allowance (TA) and kilometre allowance (KMA) should beryllium accrued proportionately. However, lone TA was increased, portion KMA has not yet been revised. This has caused large disappointment among moving staff.
With the authorities ordering to signifier the 8th Pay Commission, SRMU has been continuously insisting that KMA should beryllium accrued by astatine slightest 25% immediately, said its adjunct divisional caput V. Ramkumar.

Protesting against the continued neglect by the Union Government, SRMU observed an “all India protestation day” connected Monday.
