The section communities led by the Revolutionary Communist Party of India (RCPI), Andhra Pradesh, connected Friday (November 07, 2025) demanded allocation of 1,245.28 acres onshore nether the Salt Commission to the section brackish farmers and adjacent villages successful Kakinada district.

Earlier this year, the Kakinada territory authorities had sought 1,245.28 acres nether the Salt Commission to beryllium transferred to the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board (APMB) for concern purposes. The connection was besides approved by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Trade.  According to erstwhile Kakinada District Joint Collector Rahul Meena, the projected Salt Commission’s onshore falls successful the mandals of Kakinada City, Karapa, and Tallarevu.

On Thursday, RCPI Andhra Pradesh State caput Rambala Sateesh and section communities staged a protestation successful beforehand of the Superintendent of the Salt Commission successful Kakinada City, seeking withdrawal of the connection to transportation the onshore to APMB.

In an authoritative release, Mr. Rambala Sateesh stated, “The Salt Commission’s onshore projected to beryllium transferred to the APMB should beryllium allocated to the farmers who prosecute successful brackish cultivation, and section communities of the adjacent villages”.

The onshore which the State authorities allotted for the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) and A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) remains idle without immoderate concern enactment on the Kakinada coast. The State authorities could allot those lands alternatively of transferring Salt Commission’s land,” Mr. Rambala Sateeesh said. Recently, the Kakinada gross officials completed appraisal of the worth of the projected land.
