A cattle was reportedly killed by a leopard adjacent Hasanur successful the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve successful the aboriginal hours of Friday (May 22), triggering panic.
According to the residents of Ongalwadi colony nether the Hasanur wood range, a leopard entered the cattle shed belonging to Kavanna, a farmer, connected Thursday nighttime and attacked a cow.
Hearing the animal’s cries, the husbandman rushed to the shed and saw the leopard fleeing. On inspection, the cattle was recovered dormant with wound injuries connected its neck. Residents urged the Forest Department to instrumentality contiguous steps to cage the leopard.
