The Central Crime Branch (CCB) connected Monday arrested a 32-year-old lawyer from Punjab for submitting fake acquisition and wage documents to get a United States (U.S.) visa astatine the consulate in Chennai.

The constabulary said Scott K. Schonauer, Regional Security Officer, U.S. Consulate General, Chennai, lodged a ailment connected behalf of the consulate stating that Kuldeep Kumar had applied for a B1/B2 visa utilizing forged documents. During his visa interview, helium submitted documents that claimed helium had worked astatine Cheric Information Network Technologies Private Limited, on with a fake acquisition missive and wage slips. Based connected this complaint, the Forgery Document Investigation Wing of the CCB, Chennai, registered a lawsuit and initiated an investigation.

Investigations revealed that Kuldeep Kumar had approached Pradeep Kumar, a question cause from Hyderabad, and Jitender from Punjab and paid them ₹30,000 to hole the fake documents.
