A property that belonged to the erstwhile Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J. Jayalalithaa, successful Hyderabad was seized for a time by the civic authorities, arsenic the owners defaulted connected outgo of spot tax. The spot successful Srinagar Colony was reportedly released connected Tuesday (March 31, 2026) aft the process for outgo was initiated.

Tax connected the stilt-plus-four storeys spot has been owed since 2017, accumulating to a full ₹1.6 crore on with arrears and penal interest, officials informed. After the waiver of 90% involvement according to the One Time Settlement strategy applicable till March 31, the full payable magnitude came down adjacent to ₹83 lakh.
