Senior constabulary officers, teachers, artists and sports personalities received awards from Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan astatine the Republic Day celebrations successful Puducherry connected Monday.
The Lt. Governor presented the Home Ministry-instituted Utkrisht Seva Padak to Deputy Inspector General of Police R. Sathiyasundaram and Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak to Senior Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Lal. Police constable C. Anbarasan received Jeevan Raksha Padak Series grant instituted by the Home Ministry. He besides received ₹1 lakh currency grant for his enactment of courageousness successful rescuing tourists from drowning.
