The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has honoured Kochi with the ‘City with Best Green Transport Initiative’ award.
The grant recognises the city’s achievements successful sustainable mobility, driven by the associated efforts of Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), Cochin International Airport Limited, and Kochi Water Metro Limited nether the task titled ‘Mega greenish vigor projects powering Kochi’s transport sector’.
The grant was received by Loknath Behera, managing director, KMRL, on with Sanjay Kumar, manager (systems), and M.P. Ramnavas, manager (projects), from Manohar Lal, MoHUA, during the Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference 2025 successful Gurugram, Haryana.
