Kilarumbur villagers demand renovation of road

Residents of Kilarumbur colony adjacent Thiruvadanai submitted a petition to Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon astatine the nationalist grievance redressal gathering present connected Monday, demanding the re-laying of a roadworthy that had been remaining ruined for 23 years.

As much than 200 families were residing successful Kilarumbur village, the roadworthy stretching from the Kulathur junction to the Kilarumbur Adi Dravidar Habitation was past constructed 23 years agone nether the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), the villagers noted.

Due to a full deficiency of maintenance, tar has wholly worn off, leaving gravels exposed and way riddled with heavy potholes.

“During rainy seasons, authorities autobus services are often suspended owed to the mediocre information of the road. School students and elder citizens are facing immense hardship. Even autorickshaws garbage to travel to our colony during aesculapian emergencies,” they added.

Despite submitting aggregate petitions to the panchayat administration, nary actions were taken.

Though respective protests were organised earlier for the aforesaid demand, the villagers warned that if steps were not taken instantly to repair the road, they would surrender the Aadhaar and elector ID cards and boycott the upcoming Assembly elections.
