Key absconding accused involved in a major ganja trafficking case held at Tiruchi airport

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested an absconding cardinal accused progressive successful a large ganja trafficking lawsuit reported successful Nagapattinam territory successful 2020. The accused S. Ramadhas alias Karuthapandi who had been absconding for respective years was intercepted astatine the Tiruchi planetary airdrome connected April 19 by the NCB. 

The lawsuit pertains to the seizure of astir 661.5 kilograms of ganja successful February 2020 from a motortruck that was intercepted successful Nagapattinam district. The lawsuit was registered by the NCB Madurai Sub Zone successful 2020. Investigation revealed that Ramadhas was the main receiver of the contraband and was allegedly progressive successful plans to postulation ganja onward to Sri Lanka.

While different accused were arrested and subsequently convicted by a Court, Ramadhas had evaded apprehension and remained absconding since the day of seizure. Pursuant to ineligible and investigative efforts the accused was traced to Singapore.
