Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has described the yesteryear writer P. Kesavadev arsenic a existent revolutionary whose writings consistently stood with the mediocre and the marginalised.  

Writer Subahsh Chandran and fetal medicine specializer Thankam Subramonian, who won the 22nd P. Kesavadev Awards, are arsenic praiseworthy, Mr. Satheesan noted. Dr. Thankam, who donated a kidney to an anonymous patient, remains a beacon of anticipation for many, and Mr. Chandran is among the foremost literate voices of the century, said Mr. Satheesan at the grant presumption ceremony.  

The awards, instituted by the P. Kesavadev Trust, transportation a currency prize of ₹50,000 each, a sculpture created by creator B.D. Dethan and a certificate of merit. Mr. Chandran received the P. Kesavadev Literary Award portion Dr. Thankam was conferred with the P. Kesavadev Diabscreen Kerala Award. 

Women and Child Development Minister Bindhu Krishna recalled the precocious writer’s commitment to societal justness and his interest for the underprivileged 

George Onakkoor, chairman of the P. Kesavadev Literary Award Committee, delivered the introductory code and spoke connected the enduring relevance of P. Kesavadev and his publication to Malayalam literature.  

Jyothydev Kesavadev, founder chairman and managing trustee of the P. Kesavadev Trust, welcomed the guests while Sunitha Jothydev proposed the ballot of thanks.
