The Finance section connected Friday issued orders enhancing the complaint of dearness allowance (DA) of State authorities employees and teachers and dearness alleviation (DR) of pensioners from the existing 25% to 35%. The February 20 bid issued by the section is applicable to State authorities employees, teachers, full-time contingent employees and employees of section governments and the DR is payable to State work pensioners, household pensioners, ex gratia pensioners and ex gratia household pensioners.
In the lawsuit of section governments, the further expenditure has to beryllium met by them from their ain funds. The DA astatine the enhanced complaint volition beryllium disbursed on with the wage for March, that is, the wage disbursed successful April. The enhanced DR volition beryllium disbursed with the pension owed for April.
Presenting the State Budget, Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal had stated that the remaining DA/DR instalments would beryllium paid successful full. One instalment of DA would beryllium disbursed with the wage for the period of February and the remaining instalments “completely with the wage for the period of March.”
In February, the State authorities had issued orders hiking the DA and DA by 3% from 22% to 25%. The DA astatine the enhanced complaint was disbursed with the wage for the period of February 2026.
