Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has dissolved the 15th Legislative Assembly of the State, according to a gazette notification made nationalist connected Thursday (May 7, 2026).
The Governor dissolved the Assembly connected Wednesday (May 6), it said.

"In workout of the powers conferred upon maine by sub-clause (b) of clause (2) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Kerala, hereby dissolve the Fifteenth Kerala Legislative Assembly with effect from today, the 6th time of May, 2026," the notification said.
