Karnataka accounted for 9% of India’s ransomware cases in 2025-26, finds report

Nearly 9% of the full ransomware cases successful India successful 2025–26 were from Karnataka, according to the Centre of Excellence for Cybersecurity – Karnataka (CySecK) yearly compendium study released connected Monday.

The study besides stated that 4.3% of the full malware detections were from Karnataka. Bengaluru, too, witnessed cyberattacks that were 4 times higher than the erstwhile year, according to the report.
