Karimnagar Police arrest 12 members of cyber fraud syndicate

As portion of ‘Operation Crackdown’, the Karimnagar Police connected Sunday arrested 12 persons for allegedly facilitating cyber frauds done mule accounts.

The constabulary identified the premier accused arsenic 22-year-old Mudugunti Rajeshwar Reddy, a nonmigratory of Bhagathnagar successful Karimnagar, who allegedly masterminded the organised cyber fraud syndicate.

The pack led by Rajeshwar Reddy allegedly opened mule slope accounts and sold passbooks, ATM cards and SIM cards to cyber criminals thereby facilitating cyber frauds and layering the proceeds of fraudulent transactions.

As galore arsenic 12 members of the pack including Rajeshwar Reddy person been arrested successful transportation with six cases registered against them nether the Karimnagar Two Town Police Station and 3 cases nether the Karimnagar One-Town Police Station.

All the accused hail from Karimnagar district.

Cases person been registered against the accused nether Section 66-D of IT Act, and the applicable Sections of the BNS.

Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam commended the metropolis constabulary for their coordinated efforts successful apprehending the members of the cyber fraud syndicate.
