The Rajiv Gandhi International (RGIA) Airport successful Hyderabad received a menace email connected Saturday (November 1, 2024) claiming that determination was a "human bomb" onboard an IndiGo formation from Jeddah to Hyderabad, pursuing which the craft was diverted to Mumbai wherever it landed safely, constabulary said.

The airdrome authorities lodged a ailment with police, saying they received the menace email astatine astir 5.30 a.m. which warned them to "prevent landing of IndiGo (flight) successful Hyderabad".

The email further stated "...onboard LTTE-ISI operatives person planned a large 1984 Madras Airport Modus operandi benignant blast", constabulary said.

All stakeholders were alerted and the formation was diverted to Mumbai airdrome wherever it safely landed, they said adding "all (security) checks were carried retired and nary contented was found". Based connected the ailment a lawsuit was registered. Further probe is on, constabulary added.

In a statement, an IndiGo spokesperson said, “A information menace was received for IndiGo formation 6E 68 operating from Jeddah to Hyderabad connected November 1 and the craft was diverted to Mumbai."
