The Election Commission of India (ECI) connected Wednesday (April 22, 2026) said it had taken “serious note” of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “terrorist” and issued a “stern” announcement to him. Mr. Kharge has to respond to the announcement wrong 24 hours, ECI sources said.

The ECI determination comes aft a delegation of elder Bharatiya Janata Party leaders met the committee earlier successful the time regarding its ailment seeking enactment against Mr. Kharge for his “terrorist” remark against Mr. Modi.
