The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released the 2nd Announcement of Opportunity (AO) inviting proposals from the Indian star physics assemblage for reflection clip connected the Aditya-L1 mission.

The Aditya-L1 is India’s archetypal dedicated space-based star ngo and has been making continuous and broad observations of the prima from the sun-earth L1 point.

“The Aditya-L1 ngo marks a large milestone successful India’s abstraction subject programme, enabling continuous and broad observations of the prima from the sun-earth L1 point. Scientific information from the ngo are regularly released successful the nationalist domain for planetary technological utilisation,” ISRO said.

At present, determination are much than 27 TB of information successful the nationalist domain, and respective important technological results person been published successful planetary peer-reviewed journals.

ISRO has invited proposals for the 2nd Aditya-L1 AO to utilise reflection clip from the Visible Emission Line Coronagraph (VELC) and the Solar Ultra-violet Imaging Telescope (SUIT).

The proposals indispensable beryllium submitted electronically done the Aditya-L1 Proposal Processing System (ALPPS) hosted astatine the Indian Space Science Data Centre (ISSDC). ALPPS tin beryllium accessed via the ISSDC website. Approved observations for this 2nd AO rhythm volition beryllium conducted betwixt July 2026 and September 2026.

The deadline for submission of proposals for the 2nd AO rhythm is April 30, 2026.
