The Centre for Protection of Democratic Rights and Secularism, Karnataka unit, marked International Human Rights Day connected December 10 astatine Freedom Park successful Bengaluru. Law students from 12 colleges participated, and pledged to uphold quality rights.

State Convener M.N. Sriram emphasized the day’s humanities importance, informing that planetary crises and conflicts, including the Gaza war, person escalated rights violations. He condemned laws similar UAPA, NSA, AFSPA, and the SIR process successful Bihar for restricting freedom.

Chief impermanent Senior Advocate Surendra Babu highlighted that citizens’ struggles person historically reclaimed rights from oppressive regimes, reinforcing the request for vigilance and activism.
