IIT Madras to collaborate with Caterpillar Inc. in cutting-edge tech research

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, volition collaborate with U.S.-based manufacturing firm, Caterpillar Inc., to undertake associated probe connected cutting-edge technologies.

The probe areas see Advanced Manufacturing, AI and Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Autonomous Mining Equipment, Gas Turbines and Engines, and Batteries and Fuel Cells, a property merchandise said.

An MoU was signed precocious by Bhuvan Anadakrishnan, Vice President - Engineering, and Country Manager, Caterpillar Inc.; V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras; Manu Santhanam, Dean (ICSR), IIT Madras; and Shaikh Faruque Ali, Associate Professor, Department of Applied Mechanics, IIT Madras.
