Hundreds of regular wage labour, led by All India Kisan Khet Majdoor Sangathan (AIKKMS), took retired a protestation march successful Dharwad connected Tuesday demanding the contiguous withdrawal of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Act.

Addressing the protestors, State vice-president of AIKKMS V. Nagamhala said that the caller law, which has replaced the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), is an effort by the Central authorities to trim the warrant of employment provided to agrarian households.

She claimed that the caller model volition centralise decision-making thereby reducing the relation of the State authorities and weakening the national structure.

She further said that the task has reduced the Centre’s fiscal publication from 90% to 60%, shifting the remaining load to the State governments.

District AIKKMS president Deepa Dharwad urged the Central authorities to driblet VB-G RAM-G Act and clasp the repealed MGNREGA.

She demanded that the full fig of idiosyncratic days beryllium accrued to 200 per household with a regular wage of ₹600 to fortify agrarian livelihoods. She said that the agitation volition proceed if the instrumentality is not withdrawn.

District caput Sharanu Gonavar, committee members Ranappa Sawant, Madivalappa, Mallappa, Maruti Pujari, Siddamma, Manjunath Patil, Vijayalakshmi Nikam, Sridevi Doddmane, Hanumavva, Imam Saab and others led the protest.
