Officials of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department connected Monday inspected the elephant rejuvenation campy tract astatine Thekkampatti adjacent Mettupalayam successful Coimbatore district.

The yearly camp, organised by the HR&CE Department, was introduced during the AIADMK regime. More than 40 temple elephants from crossed Tamil Nadu usually enactment successful the 48-day camp, during which they acquisition wellness check-ups and are provided with nutritious nutrient nether the supervision of veterinarians and mahouts.

Mr. Ramesh Kumar said a study connected the inspection would beryllium submitted to the State authorities for further action.
