Ending the impasse over the much-awaited talks betwixt Ladakh and the Centre, Ladakh Lieutenant-Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena connected Sunday (April 26, 2026) announced the resumption of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)-level talks with the civilian nine bodies, the Leh Apex Body and the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA), connected May 22. The announcement came days up of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day sojourn to Ladakh.

“I americium pleased to denote that the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, has taken a determination to convene a gathering of the sub-committee for governmental dialog connected 22nd May,” said L-G Saxena.
